St. Paul wrote a letter to the Jesus followers at Philippi, which has come down to us in the New (Christian) Testament and is a major reason that we know about Philippi and that overall region. WebbPaul was imprisoned at least three time by the Romans, twice in Rome (Acts 28:16; 2Tim. 4:6), and once in Caesarea (Acts 23:35). The Caesar- ean imprisonment lasted a minimum of two years (Acts 24:27), and the first Roman confinement followed for another “two whole years” (Acts 28:30).
