WebOct 25, 2013 · Hi I've just ordered a pair of Sennheiser HD650 headphones and I'd like a decent amp/DAC set to listen to music. I listen to all kinds of music, but I'll probably listen to jazz, classical and classic pop/rock/r&b through the cans (Compression really hurts my ears, so I don't think I'll listen to many current acts due to their almost always horrible mastering) WebHi, what are the differences between these tube amps and which would sound better for the hd650? WebDepends on the headphone you're driving. I think Sound Blaster G6 or Schiit Hel would suffice for most headphones. Personally, unless you need the fancy audio mixing features, a standard DAC-amp like Fiio K7 would be a better choice, especially if you plan to upgrade to better headphones down the line.
